Description
Pea ‘Early Onward’ is a popular, early-maturing dwarf variety that produces heavy
crops of sweet, well-filled pods.
Plant in a sunny, sheltered spot with fertile, well-drained soil. Plants grow to about
60cm, so light support such as pea netting will help them climb, encourage healthy
growth, and make harvesting easier.
Keep the soil moist, especially during flowering and pod formation. Pick pods
regularly from the bottom upwards to encourage further cropping. Enjoy them fresh
in salads, cooked with meals, or freeze immediately after harvesting to preserve their
sweetness.
A classic variety that captures the simple pleasures of homegrown produce
Why choose Rowlands Plants?
We are a family-run nursery that has been growing strong, healthy, vigorous plant since 1957.
What does pot diameter mean?
Pot diameter is measured along the top of each pot to give an indication of overall plant size on arrival.
We only offer plants in 13cm or 11cm pots. This means that plants are established and ready to be planted straight into your garden as soon as they arrive.
