Plant Description

3 plants in each pot

The dependable pansy is a vibrant mix of colours and an excellent choice for gardeners looking for strong spring colour. This particular variety, known as the Clear Spring Mix, includes shades of light blue, lemon, orange, rose, white, and yellow. The flowers have flat, open faces in clear, solid colours, without the typical black blotches seen on many pansies. This gives the mix a very clean, vivid, and striking appearance.

These little beauties are compact and well-branched, spreading up to 8 to 10 inches wide. Their uniform growth and blooming habits make them ideal for planting in flower beds, containers, and window boxes. While they have a delicate appearance, they create a cheerful display and perform exceptionally well in cool conditions.

Choose a spot with full sun to partial shade when planting your pansies. They enjoy sunshine but will be grateful for a little afternoon shade, especially as temperatures rise. Keep the soil consistently moist while the plants are getting established, and try to water at the base to avoid wetting the flowers and leaves.

To keep the blooms coming, regularly deadhead spent flowers — this simple step encourages continuous flowering and keeps the plant looking tidy. Despite their dainty look, pansies are hardy, easy to grow, and incredibly versatile. They’re perfect for beds, borders, hanging baskets, and containers by your front door or patio.

Pansies are such a happy addition to the garden. They bring cheerful, vibrant colour just when we need it most — in the early days of spring or as a final burst of joy in autumn. Beautiful, reliable, and full of character, they truly are a gardener’s favourite.

What does pot diameter mean?

Pot diameter is measured along the top of each pot to give an indication of overall plant size on arrival.

We only offer plants in 13cm or 11cm pots. This means that plants are established and ready to be planted straight into your garden as soon as they arrive.

*Our specially designed boxes require no plastic inners. The plant pots are (recyclable) plastic.
