Plant Description

Osteospermum Akila ‘Lavender Shades’ is a stunning, easy-to-grow variety with uniform, compact growth and exceptional performance in any garden setting. The flowers are a vibrant lavender, larger than life and make a striking display whether planted in garden beds, window boxes, patio pots, or mixed containers.

I planted mine alongside petunias and cosmos on the patio and it was such a joy to come home and see the cheerful, colourful display welcoming you. This variety also looks beautiful on its own, adding a splash of colour that can bring a touch of the countryside to a city garden.

Osteospermum ‘Akila Lavender Shades’ thrives in well-drained soil in a warm, sunny position and is tolerant of poor soil, drought which makes it a resilient and versatile choice.

Regular feeding and removing spent flowers will keep it blooming abundantly throughout the season, ensuring a long-lasting, eye-catching display in your garden or containers.

What does pot diameter mean?

Pot diameter is measured along the top of each pot to give an indication of overall plant size on arrival.

We only offer plants in 13cm or 11cm pots. This means that plants are established and ready to be planted straight into your garden as soon as they arrive.

*Our specially designed boxes require no plastic inners. The plant pots are (recyclable) plastic.
