Plant Description

Gaura Gaudi ‘Compact Red’ is a bold and breezy perennial that brings a rich splash
of colour and graceful movement to the garden. Its deep reddish-pink blooms,
shaped like fluttering butterflies, dance delicately atop slender, wiry stems from early
summer all the way into autumn.

What sets this variety apart is its compact and tidy habit, staying low and bushy
without losing that lovely, airy feel Gaura is known for. It's perfect for sunny borders,
gravel gardens or patio pots, where it can gently spill over edges or weave through
other plants with effortless elegance.

The vibrant red-pink flowers contrast beautifully with its green foliage and bring a
warm, cottagey glow to the garden. The blooms are lightly scattered but constant,
creating a soft, shimmering effect that moves beautifully with the breeze.

Thriving in full sun and well-drained soil, this Gaura is also drought-tolerant once
established and remarkably easy to care for. A gentle deadheading will encourage
even more blooms and a light trim in midsummer can keep the plant compact and
tidy.

Whether planted along paths, in mixed borders, or as the star of a sunny container,
Gaura Gaudi Compact Red adds colour, movement, and natural charm which is
perfect for informal, pollinator-friendly gardens.

What does pot diameter mean?

Pot diameter is measured along the top of each pot to give an indication of overall plant size on arrival.

We only offer plants in 13cm or 11cm pots. This means that plants are established and ready to be planted straight into your garden as soon as they arrive.

*Our specially designed boxes require no plastic inners. The plant pots are (recyclable) plastic.
