Plant Description

Delphinium ‘Magic Fountain Dark Blue-Black Bee’ is a compact, clump-forming
perennial that brings bold drama and classic elegance to the garden. This variety
features strong, sturdy flower spikes densely packed with semi-double blooms in a
rich violet-blue shade. Each blossom is strikingly accentuated by a nearly black
centre, giving it a refined and dramatic appearance.

This delphinium thrives in fertile, moist but well-drained soil and performs best when
planted in full sun or light shade. A sheltered location is ideal to protect the tall flower
spikes from wind damage. During the growing season, feeding with a balanced
fertilizer every two weeks helps maintain healthy growth and encourages abundant
blooming.

It is especially well suited to cottage gardens or mixed borders, where its elegant
form and intense colouring make a sophisticated statement in summer displays.
Flowering typically begins in June. After the main flowering spike fades in early to
mid-summer, cutting the stem back to the base or just above a set of healthy leaves
or side shoots can encourage a second flush of blooms later in the season.

Pollinators such as bumblebees and butterflies are naturally attracted to the nectar-
rich flowers, making this cultivar not only beautiful but also ecologically valuable.
Delphinium ‘Magic Fountain Dark Blue-Black Bee’ is a stunning and rewarding
addition to any garden setting.

What does pot diameter mean?

Pot diameter is measured along the top of each pot to give an indication of overall plant size on arrival.

We only offer plants in 13cm or 11cm pots. This means that plants are established and ready to be planted straight into your garden as soon as they arrive.

*Our specially designed boxes require no plastic inners. The plant pots are (recyclable) plastic.
