Description

Coriander Santo is a popular, original slow-bolting variety, widely grown for its excellent leaf production. It’s a reliable choice for regular harvesting and fresh, aromatic flavour.

This variety prefers bright light but not scorching sun. Morning sun with afternoon shade is ideal, or grow on a bright windowsill while avoiding strong midday sunlight. Coriander does not enjoy excessive heat.

Keep the soil evenly moist at all times, never allowing it to fully dry out. Good drainage is essential. Begin harvesting early by snipping the outer stems first and leaving the centre of the plant intact. Harvest little and often to encourage continued leaf growth.

Feed lightly every 4 weeks or so. If the plant becomes tall and spindly, it may need more light. Yellowing leaves can be a sign of overwatering or poor drainage.

Coriander Santo is also a great companion for tomatoes and peppers, helping to repel aphids. It can be grown near dill, but not too close — both are umbels and can cross-pollinate if you are saving seed. An essential, fresh-flavoured herb for kitchens, containers, and companion planting.
