Plant Description

This delightful, low-maintenance plant is a joy to have in any garden. It looks fabulous cascading over borders, walls, or patio pots, and it's also great as ground cover. The flowers range from bright blue to stunning violet-blue, making it an excellent choice for adding colour and interest to rockeries, walls, borders, or trailing beautifully from containers.

The flowers are small in size, but appear in abundance, creating a carpet-like effect when in full bloom during spring. Its grey-green foliage forms a compact mat that stays attractive all year round. Being evergreen, this plant continues to provide texture and interest even during the winter months.

Aubrieta 'Kitte Blue' thrives in full sunshine and will tolerate partial shade, though flowering may be slightly reduced. For best results, plant it in well-drained soil — avoid heavy or soggy conditions, as these can lead to root rot.

While it should be watered regularly during establishment, it becomes drought tolerant once settled. After flowering, give it a light trim to maintain a neat shape and encourage fresh new growth.

This little plant is a reliable, cheerful performer that will reward you with vibrant blooms and year-round beauty — all with minimal effort.

What does pot diameter mean?

Pot diameter is measured along the top of each pot to give an indication of overall plant size on arrival.

We only offer plants in 13cm or 11cm pots. This means that plants are established and ready to be planted straight into your garden as soon as they arrive.

*Our specially designed boxes require no plastic inners. The plant pots are (recyclable) plastic.
