Plant Description
The beautiful Aquilegia Earlybird Yellow is a compact, clump-forming perennial that produces bright, cheerful blooms—perfect for spring. Its soft yellow inner and outer petals surround a vibrant yellow stamen, creating a fresh and eye-catching display that dances gracefully in the breeze. With upright stems, this variety makes a striking addition to both garden borders and patio containers.
This delightful plant is a standout herbaceous perennial and remains one of my favourites to grow. It’s wonderfully low maintenance and, with just a little care, rewards you with a generous show of stunning spring flowers. Its soft colour tones, pair beautifully with other plants in your flower beds or container displays, adding a warm and sunny touch.
Aquilegia Earlybird thrives in partial shade to full sun and prefers well-drained, consistently moist soil. Space the plants about 10 inches apart to promote airflow and help prevent fungal issues. Once established, it becomes moderately drought-tolerant, but consistent watering and a little care will ensure it flourishes year after year.
