Plant Description

The beautiful Aquilegia Earlybird Red and White is a compact, clump-forming perennial that produces eye-catching bi-colour blooms. Its rich red outer petals contrast elegantly with the crisp white inner petals, all brought together by a vibrant yellow stamen. With upright stems, this variety makes a striking feature in both garden borders and containers.

This charming plant is a standout herbaceous perennial and remains one of my favourites to grow. It's wonderfully low maintenance and, with just a little care, rewards you with an abundance of stunning spring flowers.

Aquilegia Earlybird thrives in partial shade to full sun and prefers well-drained, consistently moist soil. Be sure to space plants around 10 inches apart to encourage good airflow and help prevent fungal problems. Once established, it becomes moderately drought-tolerant, but for the best results, regular watering and a bit of loving care will keep it blooming beautifully.

What does pot diameter mean?

Pot diameter is measured along the top of each pot to give an indication of overall plant size on arrival.

We only offer plants in 13cm or 11cm pots. This means that plants are established and ready to be planted straight into your garden as soon as they arrive.

*Our specially designed boxes require no plastic inners. The plant pots are (recyclable) plastic.
