Plant Description

The Aquilegia Earlybird Mix is a stunning collection of compact, clump-forming columbines, perfect for brightening up your spring garden. In your order, you'll receive a beautiful assortment from the Earlybird series. The mix may include any of the following colour combinations:

  • Blue outer petals with white inner petals
  • Purple outer petals with cornflower blue inner petals
  • Purple outer petals with white inner petals
  • Red outer petals with white inner petals
  • Yellow outer petals with yellow inner petals

Each bloom is finished with a striking yellow stamen, adding a vibrant focal point to the flower’s soft, layered tones.

We will carefully select and dispatch plants that are ready to leave our greenhouse, ensuring they arrive in prime condition—ready for you to plant and enjoy.

This compact plant grows on upright stems, making it a beautiful addition to borders, containers, or small garden spaces. As a herbaceous perennial, it dies back in winter and returns each spring with fresh, eye-catching blooms.

Aquilegia Earlybird is one of my favourite plants to grow. When given the right conditions, it's wonderfully low maintenance and rewards you with elegant, long-lasting flowers throughout the spring.

What does pot diameter mean?

Pot diameter is measured along the top of each pot to give an indication of overall plant size on arrival.

We only offer plants in 13cm or 11cm pots. This means that plants are established and ready to be planted straight into your garden as soon as they arrive.

*Our specially designed boxes require no plastic inners. The plant pots are (recyclable) plastic.
